RV Air Conditioners Information
RV Air Conditioners are often rooftop models. This type of RV AC does not cool down the entire vehicle at once, but reduces its temperature step by step. These RV Air Conditioners are similar to split system units. Rooftop air conditioners are very efficient and you have to remember they add to the height of your vehicle. Many RV Air Conditioners now come in a Low Profile model to reduce that extra height.
Many RV Air Conditioners will also filter the air and dehumidify your room.
Your RV Air Conditioners hooked up to a public utility or it can be connected to an RV generator. You need to make sure you get the information about your Air Conditioner in order to have the proper generator to run your AC and other appliances.
RV air conditioners have the condenser and compressor units are mounted on the roof. The air-cooling unit is installed inside on the ceiling.
When your RV or trailer space is longer than 30-40 feet you may need to consider two RV units. You can talk to our Sales Staff who will get an expert to help you determine your needs as sometimes it is calculated based on total volume i.e. height, width and length).

- During peak usage to keep you’re your filters clog free
the filter of your RV air conditioner should be changed or washed at least once a month.
- The air filters should be replaced once a month, reusable filters should be washed with water and left to drip dry before reinstallation.
- Just a damp cloth with a little detergent is enough to clean the entire unit to remove dirt and dust.
- Consult your manufacturer’s information on keeping your evaporative coil clean, this keeps the whole unit running like a charm
