| This light duty Weight Distributing RV hitch System is especially designed for use with lighter weight rv trailers and pop-up campers. Rather than merely supporting the trailer tongue weight (TW), weight distributing hitches apply leverage between the rv towing vehicle and trailer causing the TW to be carried by all axles of the tow vehicle and trailer. When TW is distributed in this way, rv trailers with greater TWs can be towed, resulting in a more level ride which reduces stress on the rear of the rv tow vehicle and provides greater steering and brake control. This Single Spring Bar Weight Distributing Hitch provides a center mount single bar which is contoured to avoid interference with center mounted jacks. It is easy to set up and use. The lift mechanism is designed to prevent interference with gas bottles or battery trays. The lift mechanism adjusts 18 to 28 inches. It will work with any 2" receiver. The integrated lifter bar feature provides the advantage of allowing a single person to operate from one side of the trailer. This system works with both side and center mounted tongue jacks. The sway control platform allows you to put a friction sway control on either side of the trailer. (Sold Separately) Assembly hardware and chains are included. Rated up to 4,000/400 lbs. weight distributing. The steel material used to make the rv hitch is hot roll and tapered to control the molecular structure in the steel to give it the desired strength and flexibility. It is then applied a durable powder coat and black paint finish for a long lasting and attractive appearance. Each batch of spring bars is thoroughly tested for flexibility and its ability to accept deflection without bending or breaking.
