The Unified Tow Brake System by US Gear is the only system that allows the RV and the vehicle it is towing to mirror each other and to work as one when braking and stopping. The US Gear Tow Break system uses proportional and progressive braking that allows for a proper balance in the braking load between the two vehicles. Another wonderful thing about the Unified Tow Brake is that it the two vehicles can stop quicker than the motorhome can stop by itself. This is because the tow brake utilizes the towed vehicles own power brakes for the ultimate braking performance. Once this system is installed, there will be no need for assembly or disassembly because all of the components are hidden. Included is an operator control that will allow you to adjust for different road conditions and terrain. One unit fits all models and includes necessary components, fittings, hardware, wiring and installation instructions. Installation may be time consuming, but it is not at all difficult.
US Gear now has an upgraded power module. This power module provides an audio and visual alarm if the towed vehicles brakes are applied without activation from the towing vehicle, which can cause extensive brake damage. This condition has been caused by unforeseen interference with the actuating cable in the towed vehicle. |
